T1 Transit Declarations
External transit (T1) declarations for non-Union goods moving under customs control
A T1 declaration places non-Union goods under the external transit procedure, allowing them to move between customs offices without duty or VAT being paid at the point of entry. We prepare and file T1 declarations into the New Computerised Transit System (NCTS) for any movement starting or ending in the United Kingdom under the Common Transit Convention.
Our team handles the full process: classifying the goods, calculating and arranging the transit guarantee, generating the Local Reference Number (LRN) and Movement Reference Number (MRN), and providing the Transit Accompanying Document (TAD) that travels with the consignment. We also monitor the movement through the Offices of Transit and Destination and chase any discharge anomalies so the guarantee is released cleanly.
How It Works
- 1Send us the invoice, packing list and transport details
- 2We classify the goods and arrange the transit guarantee
- 3T1 declaration filed in NCTS — LRN and MRN issued
- 4Transit Accompanying Document (TAD) delivered to the haulier
- 5Movement monitored until discharge at the Office of Destination
