T2 Transit Declarations

Internal Union transit (T2) declarations for goods with Union status

A T2 declaration is used when Union goods need to move between two points in the customs territory of the Union, passing through a non-Union country. With Great Britain outside the EU customs union, T2 movements are essential for goods travelling, for example, from Ireland to mainland EU via Great Britain, or between EU member states crossing UK or EFTA territory.

We submit T2 and T2F declarations into NCTS, evidence the Union status of the goods (T2L, T2LF), and manage the guarantee and TAD just as for T1 movements. We work closely with hauliers and forwarders to make sure the right procedure code is used and that no duty is unnecessarily triggered.

How It Works

  1. 1Confirm goods status (Union / non-Union) and route
  2. 2Prepare T2 declaration with the correct procedure code
  3. 3Lodge declaration in NCTS — MRN issued
  4. 4Issue TAD and brief the driver / haulier
  5. 5Track movement and confirm discharge
